Happy Purim! Purim is unlike most Jewish holidays, Happy Purim! Purim is unlike most Jewish holidays, with its whimsical silliness we offset the seriousness of the stories we tell. We tell the story of the Jews of Persia who are almost attacked by the evil viceroy Haman; we recount the bravery of Queen Esther risking her life to save the Jewish people; and we celebrate with parade, Purim shpiels (comical retellings) and triangle shaped cookies. This Purim we ask you to think about the rituals of Purim and how it connects to ending college hunger.

In honor of tonight, Rabbi Lily Solochek shared their thoughts on the connection between Purim rituals and college food insecurity, and how you can help take the next step towards ending college food insecurity. Use the link in our bio to read Lilys full piece, and let us know how you’re celebrating Purim in the comments!
